This customer reached out to Apex after he was recommended to us by his property management company. When we inspected his property, we found there was no in-take ventilation, which limits how effective a ridge vent would be. As found with many roofs that have insufficient ventilation, the plywood was in bad shape which led us to replace almost half of the roof decking. Now that we have solar-powered attic fans, we are venting the attic much better and the new roof should last much longer. As always, we recommended replacing the skylight with a new Velux skylight, including the flashing kit. The new GAF HDZ roof in Weathered Wood complements this home perfectly!
